Just wanted to share one of our favorite videos with you. As we learn to count by fives, we have discovered that we can use groups of object to help us. This video shows us how to count by fives with monkeys and gives us a fun little song to help us remember the skip counting pattern. Also, the WOW word of the week at TPE was infer. To infer means to guess or conclude. In first grade, students can make inferences when reading to figuring out what an author or illustrator is trying to tell the reader without using words. This fun video below allows viewers to infer what is going on with a group of silly, and not so nice, birds. This video was just what our class needed to understand how to make an inference.
